We are seeking a dynamic, passionate and committed individual to join the team as the Practice Development Nurse for the Emergency Department within the Urgent and Emergency Care division. This role will cover the educational needs within our Emergency Department and you will work closely with the lead PDN for Acute Medicine to ensure a collaborative approach across the division. You will need to have expert emergency care knowledge and skills in order to support this large nursing team and will have a Band 6 Clinical Educator who will work alongside you in order to support this

You will be providing patient centred care in the heart of all you do with the full support of the multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, high energised, environment.
You will be responsible for the care and development of both registered and student nurses, creating an atmosphere conducive to learning and practice development, whilst also planning, providing and maintaining a high standard of effective nursing care to our patients/clients and their relatives in line with national standards.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for identifying learning needs and practice development initiatives within the division to support the delivery of good quality evidenced-based care for our patients. You must have full NMC registration and have experience within urgent and emergency care as well as demonstrable experience of delivering teaching programmes.
You will be working in partnership with the trusts practice development team, Matrons, Head of Nursing and Associate Director of Nursing for the UEC directorate to ensure we are meeting the needs of both staff and patients to provide the best outcomes to our patients.
