Job summary

An opportunity is available for a Physiotherapist to join our innovative team at Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust, based in Harlow, Essex. We provide ongoing care to a broad range of patients, ranging from those who are critically unwell, to those who need minimal rehabilitation or assessment and advice.

You will be responsible for providing a high standard of assessment, advice, treatment and evaluation of patients referred to the acute Inpatient Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Service and the MSK physiotherapy service, including patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions.

Rotations last 9 months and will rotate between the 2 areas. In return, you will be supported in your efforts to build on your previous experience to further develop your clinical competencies and leadership skills. There will be some weekend working in Orthopaedics (respiratory on call is optional).

This post is a part time position (15 hours per week) and is part of a job share. Days can be negotiated on appointment.

Main duties of the job

To be a specialist Physiotherapist responsible for providing a high standard of assessment, advice, treatment and evaluation of patients referred to outpatients MSK (Musculoskeletal) department and Inpatient Orthopaedics, which includes trauma and elective wards. This may include patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions.

To build on previous experience to further develop clinical and managerial competencies.

To work as an autonomous professional according to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy rules of Professional Conduct and Standards of Physiotherapy, and the Health Professions Council's regulations
