This job is now closed

Job summary

The post holder will be expected to work within an established epilepsy team within the acute trust, with the sole purpose of providing outreach epilepsy nursing services to children and young people who attend specialist school provision within West Essex. The post holder will bridge the gap between the acute trust and the community trust, to help achieve an integrated service. This is a pilot scheme and the post is funded by NHS England for an initial fixed term of 2 years (funding is expected to continue beyond this point) to reduce inequalities and improve access to care for CYP with epilepsy. The post holder will develop the epilepsy nursing service so that it can work across both the acute and community teams and into education or residential homes. The proposed model will enable the post holder to develop shared learning opportunities and joint resources across boundaries. It will also embed links with mental health services and adult services.
