Job summary
Please note the interview and assessment day will be held on Saturday the 14th October 2023. Applicants reaching this stage will need to attend for a full morning or afternoon session.
We are recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Health Care Support Workers to become part of our wider health care team, providing high standards of care to our patients.
You will attend a robust clinical induction program, and comprehensive practical based program, togain the skills and knowledge to provide quality care to our patients. We will provide you with the tools to gain your care certificate if you have not already completed it.
If you do not have Math and English Level 1 qualifications (GCSE Grade C-E or 1-3 or equivalent) please email adultfs@harlow-college.ac.uk with your full name, date of birth, gender, mobile number and email address to register and book your initial assessment of Math and English, prior to interview. You will then be allocated a place on the relevant free classes and tests to complete your level 1 skills which are mandatory for the role you have applied for. Conditional offers may still be given and held for a short period of time until you have completed this. We will discuss this on the day of your interview.
This vacancy is for positions in medicine. Some departments will involve working across the 3 hospital sites.
We welcome applications for those seeking both full and part-time employment, the minimum contract we can offer is 22.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
The Health Care Support Worker works as part of the ward/department team under the supervision of registered nurse/midwife and:
- Participates in the delivery of patient care
- Contributes towards ward/department organisation
- Support registered nurses in the provision of a safe and caring environment
- Complete National Care Certificate
