Job summary

We are embarking on one of the biggest transformation programmes our Trust has ever seen. Our Electronic Health Record (EHR) will enhance the work of nearly everyone in the Trust, and also the experience of anyone who access our services receives.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transformation Manager to lead and oversee the transformational change required to deliver our (EHR) programme at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. You will play a pivotal role in revolutionizing our healthcare system by facilitating the transition from traditional paper-based medical records to an advanced digital EHR system.

This role is fundamental as it is key to the transformational-change required to achieve the benefits of our organisation's digital transformation.

Main duties of the job

The Transformation Manager will be responsible for the delivery and development of the Alex Health Transformation workstream. We are looking for strong leadership to ensure that a comprehensive, effective and efficient, change management infrastructure is in place to support EHR transformation activities, ensuring appropriate organisational involvement and commitment at all times to enable our organisation to achieve key elements of this EHR transformational change project.

The role is critical in supporting the delivery of the Trust's digital strategy and the strategic priorities in PAHT2030, a new EHR is also critical to our readiness for our new hospital. The role reports to the responsible EHR Programme Manager with whom they will agree their work plan and expected outcomes.

You'll be working across the organisational boundaries, influencing decisions where appropriate, negotiating areas of improvement, seeking agreement and co-operation; but always managing user expectations to ensure that they are aligned to the available resources.

Ensuring there is consistent and effective change methodologies adopted and actions/interventions delivered to enable the deployment and adoption of Alex Health.   • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate qualification or equivalent experience or training

Desirable

  • PRINCE 2 Foundation or other project management qualification

Experience

  • Proven experience in leading/ enabling/ delivering large-scale healthcare IT transformation projects, particularly Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementations.
  • Change management expertise, including the ability to drive large scale and complex organisational culture change towards digital transformation.
  • Significant experience of working in a senior manager role
