Job summary
The Radiology team are seeking to appoint an Imaging Systems Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be responsible for the operational management and performance of all Trust wide imaging systems within Radiology, and will lead on all strategic planning and delivery of medical imaging system projects and will also provide line management for the associated administrative teams within Radiology.
In addition, you will deliver formal scheduled training for groups of staff on the relevant systems, providing feedback to Radiographers and Physiologists to aid training and development.
Main duties of the job
- Maintain the integrity of the systems and develop local IM&T Policies to support the Trust Information, Security and Confidentiality Policy
- Report on IM&T compliance at local level to the Trust board
- Monitor and review system performance ensuring integrity of patient and image data, receiving escalated issues from the CSS IT team and escalating any specific issues to the PAH IT Help Desk.
- Responsible for the implementation and continual review of local IT policies for the CSS Healthcare Group that may impact across the entire organisation.
- Ensure the PACS budget is used within scope and that any adjustments required are highlighted in the budget setting process each year.
- Maintain constant systems surveillance for all imaging CSS systems to ensure data and image quality is maintained and ensure correct integration and functionality.
- Provide prompt technical advice to all local and Trust users, both Radiographic and others, supporting the site based PACS administrators for complex issues.
- Provide training, both formal and ad hoc for users of PACS and RIS as required.
