Job summary

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who want to positively contribute to patient experience. As one of our ward or department based housekeepers you will be instrumental in delivering outstanding care to our patients by ensuring they receive high standards of food and fluids and that they receive care in a clean and pleasant environment. You will do this in collaboration with the healthcare teams as a valued member of the team. We are also able to offer apprenticeships in customer care or food handling.

You will need to be flexible to ensure we cover our core hours from 7:30am to 7:30pm.

We are also able to offer Part Time hours as well as secondment and fixed term opportunities

Main duties of the job

Your day-to-day roles:

To ensure all patients are assisted to complete their food order, with guidance on appropriate menu selection
To prepare food trays and drinks trolleys to facilitate the safe and presentable delivery of food and beverages throughout the day
To ensure all bed areas are prepared to the agreed standard prior to a patient's admission
To promote culture of keeping the ward clean and tidy to enable domestics to clean and clinical staff to provide care
