The transition from student to qualified midwife is exciting and we want to support you at this key time at the start of your career. We have dedicated practice development midwives and professional midwifery advocates to aid your development and wellbeing.
The preceptorship package can be tailored to individual needs to suit your specific transition requirements. You'll be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who in turn will be joining a supportive team.

We are looking to appoint motivated and enthusiastic newly qualified midwives who can provide high quality care. A well balanced year long Preceptorship Programme is available. Opportunities are in the hospital and the community setting, the midwifery role will be rotational to ensure that skills are maintained in all areas of midwifery. This will enhance future career choices as well as maintaining safe holistic person centred care.
Your preceptorship package will include rotation through all areas of maternity services with the aim to join the continuity of care model. We currently three established continuity of carer teams and we are building more this year.
