You will have the opportunity to work across various specialty rotations within our specialist teams, delivering education and training and also gain experience in directorate work including management of high cost medicines, new drugs applications, guideline review and drug expenditure reporting.

You will be self-motivated and organised, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will need to be able to develop effective working relationships with a wide range of professionals. You will need good IT skills and be able to work with many different IT programs & databases.
Applicants should be a pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You should have completed up to 18 months of a postgraduate clinical pharmacy diploma and working towards full diploma or equivalent experiential learning.
Main duties of the job
- To ensure the safe, clinically effective and cost efficient use of drugs.
- To provide a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service (predominantly ward based but may be out-patient based depending on the rotation).
- To ensure any prescribing of high cost drugs is appropriately funded.
- To support & develop pre-registration pharmacists, Band 6 pharmacists & medicines management pharmacy technicians as appropriate

- Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
