Are you ready for your next step in paediatric pharmacy? We're looking for an experienced pharmacist to join our friendly paediatric pharmacy team at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington.

Rotate through a range of W&C specialties, including general paediatrics & infectious diseases, haematology & bone marrow transplant, paediatric and neonatal unit intensive care.

Mentor junior pharmacists and support trainees.Collaborate closely with consultants, doctors, nurses, and other professionals in a multidisciplinary environment.

Who we're looking for:*Good experience with hospital pharmacy.*Specialist experience in some areas (e.g. paediatrics, intensive care, oncology, infectious disease) is desirable, but training will be provided.*Someone motivated, enthusiastic, and keen to learn.

Main duties of the job

  • Deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care for children and young people.
  • Take part in guideline development and review.
  • Help manage drug spend and support cost-effective prescribing.
  • Provide training and teaching for pharmacists and the wider team.
  • Get involved in risk management, audit, and quality improvement.
  • Support new drug applications.
  • Provide clinical and specialist support to the outpatient pharmacy partnership

Essential

  • Master's degree in pharmacy or equivalent
  • Competency/Performance standards assessed and examined, full professional registration with GPhC
  • Mandatory CPD / revalidation to assess fitness to practice
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice / JPB foundation 18 months or equivalent

Desirable

  • Member or Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS)
  • Diploma / MSc in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent experience
  • Management qualification or equivalent experience

Experience

Essential

  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience of which some is in a relevant specialist area
  • Previous experience of mentoring and training
  • Previous experience in delivering training and education
  • Previous experience in supervising staff
