Are you an experienced Endoscopy Nurse seeking a new challenge in a collaborative and innovative environment?
At Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Junior Sister / Charge Nurse to join our friendly team and play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred endoscopy services. Main duties of the job
- Deliver safe, effective and compassionate care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
- Lead and assist the endoscopist and multidisciplinary team during procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, EUS, ERCP and bronchoscopy.
- Monitor, assess and evaluate patients with before during, and after procedures.
- Support junior staff, students and new team members by sharing knowledge and promoting a positive learning environment.
- Participate in audits, training and continuous improvements activities within JAG -accredited Endoscopy Unit.
- Conduct Personal Development Reviews (PDRs), competency, assessment and ongoing performance feedback for junior staff.
- Manage staff sickness, attendance, and performance in line with Trust policies.
- Contribute to e-Rostering and workforce planning to maintain safe staffing levels across all shifts.
- Safely manage and troubleshoot endoscopy equipment, report and escalate faults promptly.
