Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Band 5 Dietitian to join our rotational team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your clinical skills while also contributing to service development and student training.
The post includes four six-month rotations across St Mary's Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital, supporting acute inpatient services. These include admission wards, endocrine, orthopaedics, vascular, rehabilitation, and elderly care. All rotations involve enteral tube feeding and require close multidisciplinary collaboration, offering a well-rounded clinical experience.

We are actively involved in dietetic student placements and strongly support continuing professional development (CPD) for all staff. Main duties of the job
- To plan and deliver a patient centred dietetic service to patients in hospital and in the community.
- To be professionally and legally accountable and responsible for all aspects of your own work, including the management of patients in your care.
- To routinely provide advice, education and support to patients and their carers as part of the Nutrition & Dietetic care process. To adopt a patient centred treatment approach in order to support meaningful participation in nutrition therapy and self-management.
- To be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records in line with the legal requirements, trust guidelines and professional standard of practice (BDA, HCPC).
- To develop clinical and teaching skills via continuous personal and professional development (CPPD), including maintenance of an up to date CPPD portfolio.
- To actively participate in departmental and other in-service training and development opportunities.
- Build and sustain professional relationships both as an independent practitioner and collaboratively as a member of the team.
