Job summary

We are thrilled to be recruiting for motivated applicants for an exciting bank opportunity across St Marys and Charing Cross Imperial hospitals, working as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner!

This is a flexible role within the Emergency Departments across Imperial (St Marys Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital), that will require dynamic and experienced ENPs to provide specialist care to patients.

A successful Bank ENP will be an enthusiastic individual, forward thinking, committed to equal opportunities and non-discriminatory practices.

Successful candidates will be motivated with excellent communication and leadership skills who will be able to support the Ward Manager, Junior Sisters and Multidisciplinary team to provide patient centred care, maintain high care delivery standards and efficient, safe management of patients within Imperial Teaching Hospitals.

Main duties of the job

  • To assess, diagnose, treat and discharge or refer patients without reference to a doctor
  • To provide a service that is complementary to GP's
  • To be an independent prescriber (experienced EP essential)
  • To act as a Link practitioner for a specialty and to disseminate new guidance and information from that speciality keeping colleagues updated

  • To assist in achieving Emergency Department quality indicators by ensuring timely review/transfer/discharge of patients
  • To have expert skills in plastering, suturing, streaming and to teach these skills to juniors
  • To work with the Nurse Consultant and Lead Practitioner in responding to complaints
