We are looking for a Band 5 nurse who is committed to delivering high quality care and supporting our current and future services.
The post holder must be willing to engage in all the development opportunities and be enthusiastic about their own development and growth. We are looking for at least 12 months post qualification experience to complement our existing nursing team and to work within our dynamic and friendly team.
The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team of skilled and highly motivated staff who provide quality care to children with a wide variety of conditions including medical, surgical, trauma, orthopaedics plastics, ENT and the largest Bone Marrow Transplant Centre non-malignant blood cancers.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will work with the ward manager and multi-disciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining policies, standards of nursing care and staff development, as part of the ward team.
- The post holder will provide direct quality patient care to high dependency and intensive care level patients.
- Following the preceptorship period, the post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision and is required to demonstrate procedures, supervise unqualified and adaptation staff whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
- To be flexible in the approach to the clinical area and provide cover for any area specified.
