Job summary
Do you thrive at the intersection of operational delivery, digital innovation and programme leadership? If so, we're looking for someone like you.
At Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, we are seeking an outstanding leader to take on the role of Head of Digital Patient Pathway Management.
This is about more than just technology. It's about bridging the gap between clinical and operational teams through digital solutions that deliver actionable insights, streamline patient journeys, and help our staff focus on what matters most - delivering outstanding care.
The Digital Patient Pathway Management (DPPM) team was established to transform how we manage patient pathways, ensuring care is timely, effective, and consistently high quality.
As Head of DPPM, you will be responsible for the full implementation of the Federated Data Platform and its associated products - a major opportunity to shift the dial on performance, productivity, and patient experience. You'll report through to the Chief Operating Officer, and lead a Trust-wide delivery programme, ensuring digital operations are fully aligned with frontline priorities and delivering maximum impact.
This role requires someone who is equally comfortable engaging with clinicians at the bedside and translating complex requirements into scalable, digital solutions.
If you bring the vision, energy and curiosity to drive innovation and the discipline and tenacity to deliver it at pace, we would love to hear from you.

- Ensure we provide timely care to our patients and reduce the elective backlog
- Keep elective pathways running for as long as possible in the context of managing COVID surge and elective recovery
- Drive the delivery of operationally led digital pathway management projects with an aim to improve patient outcomes, increase efficiency, and enhance the patient experience, in line with Trust and NWL priorities and strategic objectives
- Work closely with clinical and operational colleagues, and collaboratively with NW London to identify opportunities for improvement and to develop or enhance digital solutions that align with the Trust's strategic objectives based on user insights and user-centred design principles
- Work collaboratively with key leads across programmes and projects at the Trust towards improved patient pathway management and identifying opportunities for digital enablers
- Provide support and training to Trust staff to ensure the successful adoption and use of digital solutions, and to ensure that new starters are trained on digital patient pathway management
- Work collaboratively with the EPR Transformation team and existing Trust transformation teams to ensure that digital enablers are aligned with operational and technical changes (e.g. Cerner changes, pathway improvement).
