Neurosurgery Administration Service Support Manager

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Neurosurgery, Trauma Directorate. We are seeking a dynamic, proactive and highly motivated individual to join the management team, based on a 12-month fixed term contract. Duties include but are not limited to line management of admin staff and their performance, the monitoring and reporting of activity, participation and providing information at directorate management meetings.

The post will provide a great opportunity for individuals looking to develop their career in NHS management, allowing the post holder to share and standardise best practice and to improve patient pathways and overall patient experience. The successful candidate will be highly efficient and organised with an ability to prioritise and problem solve in a busy NHS working environment.

Main duties of the job

  • Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)by all administrative staff, promoting consistency and compliance across operations.
  • Oversee equipment management processes, ensuring cost-effective procurement and timely delivery of equipment to support service continuity.
  • Monitor and manage Referral to Treatment (RTT) waiting times, ensuring alignment with Trust targets and national standards.
  • Support the development and implementation of a team monitoring framework to ensure all outputs are consistently delivered to a high standard.
