Job summary

Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital is seeking to appoint a Community Administrator to join the busy Maternity Department at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital. The role is integral to Maternity Admin team providing a comprehensive and quality administration service to the designated department.

Main duties of the job

  • Dealing with queries from GPs, Doctors, Midwives, wards and other departments, both external and internal, over the phone and via the Maternity Mailbox in a calm and polite manner and in accordance with Trust policy.
  • Use hospital information systems to track medical notes, process patients, book appointments, track and action DQIs and carry out any other tasks associated with the system in accordance with department procedures in a timely manner.
  • The Community administrator will be expected to man the generic mailbox in regards to ensuring discharge documentations are send to relevant community teams to support the bookings of New-born Screening Tests in line with NHSE Screening Targets.
