We're looking for a Senior Costing & Data Analyst to help us maintain and develop our costing models while driving productivity improvements across the Trust. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and updating costing models, ensuring they're accurate and up to date for mandatory returns, service line reporting, and key decision-making. You'll collaborate with clinical divisions and corporate directorates, providing them with valuable insights while also supporting the development of productivity models that help improve efficiency across the Trust.

We're looking for someone with a solid foundation in data analysis and exposure to costing, but most importantly, we need someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys working with complex datasets, and is keen to make a difference by improving productivity. Main duties of the job
- To provide an efficient, high-quality, and comprehensive patient-level costing and productivity service within the Trust, offering timely appropriate information, advice, and recommendations on total absorption costing methodology to clinical divisions and corporate directorates.
- To maintain and update a complex costing database to support the preparation of mandatory costing returns, including national cost collection (NCC), in-year quarterly service line reporting (SLR), and decision-making reports and analysis.
- To provide technical knowledge, support and lead on the activity and income data delivery within the costing model and productivity, working closely with the Head of PLICS & Productivity, Senior Costing Analyst, Business Intelligence team and financial management and Income team.
- To support and incorporate all developments with approved costing guidance and the national and system-level tariff payments system into the trust's costing and productivity model.
- To undertake periodic benchmarking reviews with local, peer and national averages.
- To prepare benchmarking reports in liaison with other trusts and communicate the findings to line management and key stakeholders at the directorate, divisional and trust levels.
