Working within a well-resourced multi-disciplinary team, with responsibilityto partner the organisation, you will be responsible for building a deep understanding ofTrust needs, both current and predicted, and ensuring the service can respondaccordingly. Accountable for relationship building and consultancy, this role offersopportunity for professional development, visibility within the organisation and toinfluence at a divisional level.
Main duties of the job
As part of a multi-disciplinary team the purpose of this role is to support the protection and promotion of the health and wellbeing of current and prospective employees, and those from contracted and other organisations, as per Trust arrangements.
In accordance with Trust / Department policy and procedures, to deliver OH clinical activity such as management referral consultation and reporting, health clearance activity, and risk management & exposure related advice and intervention.
As a specialist practitioner, provide evidence-based opinion, intervention and guidance to Trust management and partner organisations to support their line and risk management responsibilities. Assist in safeguarding against risks arising from work and the working environment and influence the application of safe and healthy work practices.
Line manage and develop a small clinical team (OH Practice Nurses, OH Technicians), and mentoring others, e.g., Administrative Staff, to ensure that clinical practice and service delivery is undertaken in accordance with Trust / Department policy and procedures.
Within levels of competence, deputise for the OH Managers: Operational and Governance Leads.
