We are currently looking to recruit a SACT Coordinator who is organised and dedicated to join our department to provide full administrative support. The post holder will be expected to be responsible, coordinate administrative workload, and work closely with clinical colleagues and admin managers in order to ensure the continuity of good service for our patients at all times.

Main duties of the job
- Liaise daily with the pharmacy Aseptic Unit, inpatient pharmacy Lloyds and the oncology outpatient pharmacist to ensure that prescribers have addressed all issues raised in the pharmacy 'Urgent Action' list (or the prescriber is aware they should address the issue at the patient visit).
- Liaise with all treatment schedulers to cross check all planned (inpatient and day case) intravenous / oral / subcutaneous and intramuscular treatment and resolve any related issues.
- Liaise with all treatment schedulers and treatment prescribers to ensure patient scheduling is kept up to date and accurate.
- Liaise between the pharmacy Aseptic Unit, inpatient pharmacy and Lloyds and treatment areas to ensure the availability and priority of SACT.
- Visit wards/clinic early in morning to assess daily requirements of inpatient / outpatient chemotherapy. Have regular contacts with Consultants, SPR, Nursing Ward managers and Administration team. Attend clinic handovers as required.
- Ensure systems are in place to prevent outpatients leaving the site without their prescribed supportive medication.
- Liaise with schedulers at regular intervals during the day to ensure patient lists are accurate and up to date. Work with schedulers to monitor and report exceptions in the performance of the adult chemotherapy service on an immediate basis.
