Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen as a Cardiology Patient Scheduler. The successful candidate will work with the Cardiology team in Hammersmith Hospital and provide high quality administration skills for our community site based in Willesden. The team requires an enthusiastic, positive and hard- working individual to join.

Our world-class Cardiology service at Hammersmith Hospital is a tertiary referral cardiac centre led by academic specialists who are leaders in their field. We use cutting-edge clinical innovations to treat and prevent heart conditions and offer a full range of investigations, treatments and management for cardiac conditions. Although our main Cardiology service is held at Hammersmith Hospital, we offer diagnostics at the Willesden Centre for Health and Care.

You will be the first point of contact for patients receiving their initial appointment. Therefore you play a pivotal role in giving our patients the best quality of care.

The post holder will be responsible for booking patients on e-RS and REGO providing administrative support to the team. Applicants should be able to demonstrate high quality administrative skills including, excellent communication skills, IT skills and the ability to manage and prioritise their workload.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide comprehensive administration support- booking our patients into our Cardiology department within the Willesden Community Diagnostic Centre in line with Trust policy

  • You will need to be able to respond and deal with queries within a timely manner via different methods of communication such as via telephone calls and emails.

  • Ensuring that the Cardiology bookings do not breach in line with the national waiting time standards.

  • Inputting and maintaining accurate patient data on the Trust's information systems.

  • You will be expected to work autonomously within a team, being able to manage you workload. Plus being able to liase with the wider admin team.

  • Being able to adhere to Trust and Directorate policies and protocols.
