You will be providing high-quality secretarial and administrative support to the Senior Management and Medical Teams within the Imaging department. Some of your key responsibilities will include managing office operations, maintaining records, coordinating meetings, and drafting correspondence.
You will be handling incoming communications, managing diaries, and organising events such as consultant meetings. The position also involves finance and resource management, including processing invoices, managing budgets, and coordinating travel arrangements when required. Additionally, the role supports HR functions by coordinating recruitment, tracking staff absences, and maintaining payroll records.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential. The role also includes line management duties, ensuring the efficient operation of a team of PAs, and assisting with policy development, compliance, and incident management.
Main duties of the job
As PA / Team Leader, substantial initiative will need to be exercised in providing support to the Senior Managers and Radiology Consultants especially when dealing with other senior managers, medical staff and representatives from outside organisations. The post holder will also be expected to act as a resource for the Medical and Senior Management Team.
The Post Holder will establish and co-ordinate activities within the Imaging Directorate, liaising with companies, senior management, patients, clinicians to ensure the smooth running of the Directorate and ensuring that all duties are performed efficiently and within an agreed and defined timescale.
