Job summary
Applicants are invited to apply for a Trust Grade SPR (ST3+ level) post in General Surgery for one year on a fixed term contract. This post will be based at St Mary's Hospital but may include cross site working.
The successful candidate will be working at the middle grade level as a Trust Grade Registrar with previous experience in Surgery and looking to further develop their knowledge and skills in the area.
Main duties of the job
Applicants must be eligible for registration or hold full registration with the GMC and will be expected to participate in a 1:9 on-call rota. They must have the ability to organise and manage outpatient priorities, surgical waiting lists, operating lists and rotas as well as demonstrate strong communication and team working skills.
The department has a growing quality improvement, research and audit unit and involvement in research is also actively encouraged.
