Job summary

As the Project Manager for Digital Patient Pathway Management at Imperial College NHS Trust, youll champion the vision and objectives set by the Head of Digital Patient Pathway Management. Your leadership will drive the work programme forward, ensuring seamless integration and execution.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

Streamlining Care:Lead a dynamic team dedicated to refining processes and care models. By leveraging user-centric digital tools, youll enhance efficiency and ensure the right information is delivered to manage patient pathways effectively, guaranteeing timely treatment for all patients.

Project Delivery:Ensure all projects are completed within the designated timelines. Youll swiftly build strong working relationships with a diverse range of clinical and non-clinical staff, aligning efforts to meet project goals and objectives.

Collaboration and Influence:Act as a pivotal liaison, supporting and influencing senior managers and clinical staff across Imperial College Health Care Trust and the North West London sector. Your role will also involve actively promoting the team vision in North West London, facilitating ICS-level decision-making and patient pathway management to ensure patients receive the right care at the right time and place.

Integration and Support:Work with colleagues at Imperial and across the sector to integrate work stream areas into the overall Programme, providing change support and business analytics

Project Management:Oversee day-to-day project management, coordinating work streams to ensure full integration with project plans.

Policy Development:Develop local policies and protocols to meet the operational requirements of the project.

  • NHS experience including working with Clinicians
  • Experience in successfully challenging established working practices and opinions
  • Experience of waiting list management, with knowledge of technical, operational and clinical challenges in managing RTT and non-RTT routine and urgent elective patient pathways
  • Liaison and negotiation at a senior level with a wide range of internal and external stake holders
  • Demonstrable experience of managing change within large complex projects and of delivering expected outcomes
  • Ability to lead staff and delegate tasks appropriately
  • Evidence of driving and supporting organisational change
  • Expert knowledge of change and benefits management methodologies and techniques
  • Experience of partnership working across organisations and disciplines Leading and managing a multidisciplinary team including objective setting and performance management
  • NHS experience including work with clinical staff Knowledge of health information systems
  • Ability to communicate highly complex strategic issues to a wide audience
  • Ability to lead change through strong leadership and communication ability
  • Ability to present complex models for change and project plans at senior trust boards
  • Proven experience of undertaking system implementations in an NHS environment
  • Produce policy & procedures to implement changes in working practice Ongoing audit of change programmes identifying any conflicts or risks and dealing with effectively
