Job summary
We are looking for a good team player with attention to detail and excellent analytical and organisational skills who can handle pressure and work to tight deadlines to ensure that the application under test performs to the requirements of the Trust.
You will have good knowledge of Oracle Cerner EPR functionality and clinical workflows. Experience of scripting and testing Cerner Millennium applications including SR/RFCs is essential. You should also have demonstrable knowledge of software testing fundamentals and methodologies, ideally ISTQB standards.
Though primarily based at Paddington, you will be expected to cover and travel between all the NWL ICS sites depending on the need.

Main duties of the job
Key areas of responsibility
Test Planning
Gather test requirements from complex and highly technical project requirements and produce Test specifications and Test Scripts.
Ensure all Test Scripts are created and stored in the test repository.
Create and maintain valid test data for the execution of the Test Scripts.
To assist the Senior Testers and Test Manager by providing realistic estimates for all the testing activities.
Test Execution
Meticulous execution of all test scripts as per the Test Plan and according to Test Schedule.
Conduct and manage witness testing of UAT by end users, to ensure test execution completeness.
Check the coverage of the test execution is as per the agreed levels.
Ensure that the traceability matrix is updated regularly and accurately reflects the status of test execution.
Defect Management & Maintenance
Ensure all defects are captured and entered accurately along with necessary test steps into the defect tracking and management tool as agreed with the project.
Develop and maintain manual Regression Test Packs.
To liaise with both third party suppliers and other areas within the IT function to ensure that Quality Assurance standards are being adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
