Our three Endoscopy departments, located at Hammersmith Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital, and Charing Cross Hospital, offer a comprehensive array of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. These include Upper and Lower GI Endoscopy - Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, Flexi Sigmoidoscopy, and Bronchoscopy.

At Charing Cross, you'll find four state-of-the-art procedure rooms in a newly refurbished setting. We are expanding our team to meet the growing demand for Endoscopy and Bowel Screening Services. Here, you'll have the chance to collaborate closely with our colleagues from the West London Bowel Cancer Screening Programme, delivering FOBT services to our community.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide high quality, effective, individualised care to all patients by assessing care needs and developing, implementing and evaluating them without supervision
  • To assist the Endoscopy unit manager in leading the nursing team and deputise in their absence
  • Monitor standards of nursing care and take appropriate action to maintain and improve them
  • To respond to patients, relatives and carers concerns as they arise and take remedial action as required.

  • Level 2 numeracy and literacy

  • Mentorship or Teaching qualification

  • Experience of caring for sick patients in a variety of settings. This can be whilst a student
  • At least one year experience in Endoscopy
