Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated assistant to join our MRI Imaging team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, based at Hammersmith Hospital

The post will involve providing support to the clinical Radiography team in the MRI scanning unit, dealing directly with patients, relatives and carers. Duties will include receiving patients into the department, assisting in patient care and preparation of patients for their procedures, maintenance of stock levels, maintaining cleanliness of the environment, some clerical duties and liaising with other staff and members of the public.

The department currently opens from 8am until 8.15pm Monday to Friday, and also opens at weekends. There will be a requirement to work weekend duties as an integral part of the working week.

Main duties of the job

  • To assist and support the professional staff within the Imaging Directorate maintaining a high standard of patient care by carrying out assigned tasks.
  • Provide an efficient and reliable system for throughput of patients ensuring the activity and needs of the unit are achieved.
  • Assist with clerical needs of the unit
