As a Clinical Nurse Specialist you would be responsible for running your own clinics, prescribing and monitoring Biologic Medications and developing the Dermatology Services we provide at Imperial. You will work alongside the Dermatology Consultants in planning and implementing patient care, but also work as an independent practitioner in the delivery of care.

Main duties of the job
We are seeking the appointment of an autonomous advanced clinical practitioner to run their own clinics and support the running of our systemic therapies drug monitoring clinic. This post will help create a new structured patient pathway to ensure safe and effective provision of systemic therapies for dermatology patients and will ensure the service can meet national best practice guidelines and quality standards.
The Imperial College dermatology department has a vision of modernisation and becoming a leading unit in London, in order to achieve this, we need to provide a comprehensive and consistent service. Through the development of this novel service we will ensure systemic therapies patients' needs are successfully met, improve their outcomes, improve utilisation of consultant capacity through development of nurse led clinics and therefore creating a more sustainable model of care.
The advanced clinical practitioner is an experienced registered healthcare professional with specialist skills to assess and treat patients and manage the clinical environment, in collaboration with the management and consultant team. The advanced clinical practitioner will act as an autonomous practitioner in forming clinical decisions and complex management plans in the diagnosis, assessment and treatment of patients.
