Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for experienced therapeutic radiographers ready to step up into a band 7 Team Leader role within the treatment team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust's radiotherapy department. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, dynamic individuals who will fit in quickly with the team.

We actively support professional development and encourage radiographer-led research and QI projects. We support leadership development with excellent leadership development programmes delivered by the Trust.
All applicants would be expected to support the working hours of the service and work across sites with the occasional need to support on-call working or ad hoc weekend work.
Operating mainly from our Charing Cross site, our current equipment portfolio includes five TrueBeam linacs (one at Hammersmith Hospital), Siemens go.Open pro CT scanner and an Xstrahl unit; our Elekta Flexitron Brachytherapy unit is based at Hammersmith Hospital in a dedicated brachytherapy suite. Two of our linacs have the ExacTrac system, and we have now implemented SGRT at our Hammersmith site. We have switched the majority of our treatment planning & vSim pathways to the Raystation system. We are in the final stages of expanding our SABR programme and are now treating Lung, oligo mets & liver SABR.
Main duties of the job
- To provide high quality, effective individualised treatment and care to all patients.
- To carry out all practical aspects involved in preparing and delivering radiotherapy treatments.
- To lead & support teams in allocated pre-treatment areas on a rotational basis.
- To support the coordination, implementation, and continuous development of a quality improvement culture within the Radiotherapy service.
- To support the coordination, implementation, and continuous development of a culture of safe, high-quality care in the Radiotherapy service, through effective and robust integrated governance processes and procedures, including statutory and regulatory compliance

- Demonstrable experience working in a senior clinical role supervising radiotherapy teams
- Experience and good understanding of electronic patient management systems, and treatment and image verification systems including downloading data, entering data and checking data
- Sound knowledge of variety of complex treatment techniques
