Job summary
We are seeking a positive and expert Midwifery leader with a passion for delivering outstanding midwifery care and an exceptional private patient experience. We invite you to join our team in the dynamic role for our private maternity Stanley Clayton ward based at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital in East Acton, London.
You will be motivating and leading our fabulous staff to deliver high quality private care to the women and birthing people on our ward.
You will be working alongside the private maternity services at the Lindo Wing St. Mary's hospital, allowing you to expand and develop your skillset.
Your management responsibility will include staff management, sickness management, budget management, service development and ensuring the day to day running of the ward is seamless in line with private patient's expectations.

Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be a professional role model, who will clinically lead, manage and be responsible for the management and midwifery aspects of the Clayton Ward, Private Maternity unit at Queen Charlottes Hospital.
- At all times ensure that the needs of the women and birthing people are placed at the centre of caredelivery.
- Support and drive the private patient maternity agenda Trust-Wide, in the provision of safe, high quality patient centred care with an emphasis on customer service and positive patient experience.
- To be accountable for effective management of all resources and income needed to deliver comprehensive compassionate care.
- To act as clinical expert within the Maternity Unit, this will involve dissemination of specialist skills and knowledge to others.
- To be the budget holder for Clayton Ward.
- Contribute to the implementation of the Trust's Nursing and Midwifery Strategy; and lead on the implementation of national maternity transformation plans for the roll out of continuity of carer teams for women likely to require high dependency or critical level care during their pregnancy and birth.
- Work collaboratively with our NHS maternity service also based at QCCH to support the delivery of safe patient care.
