Job summary

An exciting administrative opportunity has arisen within the ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) Service at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The start date will be 2nd September 2024.

The Patient Pathway Supervisor and Validator will be responsible for the day to day supervision of the ENT RTT Validation Team with a remit for undertaking detailed patient level validation to ensure accurate and robust information to support performance reporting, high data quality and to assist in managing patients' through their RTT pathway.

This post is vital to support with the elective recovery of RTT performance within the service. The appointee will be required to validate patient pathways, support with RTT recovery programme, liaise with multi-disciplinary team members in pathway planning and actioning patients accordingly

Main duties of the job

  • To supervise on a day-to-day basis the RTT Validation Coordinators responsible for ensuring first line validation is undertaken and RTT tracking systems are updated.
  • Escalate capacity and data quality issues to the validation and business managers so that issues can be resolved in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the development and management of an effective RTT Validation Team ensuring deliverables are met to agreed timescales and quality standards.
  • Planning, prioritisation and allocation of workstreams for all team members.
  • Assisting the induction process for all new team members.
  • To provide specialist RTT knowledge, training and support for team members, as well as Outpatient and Inpatient Booking teams to improve their effectiveness.
