Job summary
Applications are invited for the role of Band 8a Paediatric Audiology Clinical Lead. We are looking for a highly experienced Paediatric Audiologist to join our forward thinking and friendly Audiology Team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The role is on a 12 month fixed term basis and is across sites at; St. Mary's Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital, Woodfield Road medical Centre and Parkview Medical Centre.
We provide a comprehensive paediatric audiology service including assessing babies referred from the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme, the behavioural and objective assessment of children of all ages and the habilitation of children with hearing loss. We also provide a specialist bone conduction hearing implant (BCHI) service. The Paediatric Audiology Service sits alongside Adult Audiology Services and the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme.
The department holds IQIPS accreditation and the post holder will be responsible for the clinical quality of the Paediatric Audiology Service, ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high quality care. We are also a training centre delivering the Scientist Training Programme through the National School of Healthcare Science.

Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be a highly experienced specialised paediatric audiologist who will provide paediatric audiological evaluation and rehabilitation.
- They will manage and be responsible for the running and development of the Paediatric Audiology Service.
- The post holder will provide clinical supervision and training to junior members of staff, work autonomously, should show initiative and manage own caseload
