You will play a pivotal part in our services, providing support to the medical, nursing and pharmacy staff. Not only will you be attending ward rounds, but will also have the opportunity to partake in teaching, audits and service improvement projects. You'll regularly work alongside various MDT staff and each site will provide unique insights and opportunities to collaborate with our fabulous teams.

Main duties of the job
- Attend regular consultant-led Post-Take Ward Rounds and Medicine for the Elderly ward rounds
- Provide an extended hours clinical pharmacy service to the AMU and AAU wards which includes working early and late shifts as well as regular weekends
- Be a key member of the multidisciplinary team
- Provide education and training to the multidisciplinary team
- Give advice at the point of prescribing thereby ensuring adherence to Trust policies and promoting antimicrobial stewardship
- Supervise and train junior pharmacists, trainee pharmacists, Medicines Management Pharmacy Technicians (MMPTs) and Assisstant Technical Officers (ATO's)
- Further develop your clinical and management skills
- To lead on medicine management initiatives for Emergency, Acute and Elderly Medicine patients
