Job summary

We are looking for staff nurses who have an interest in Ophthalmology . In conjunction with the Charge Nurses , Matron and the wider team you will be responsible for Providing our patients with the best Ophthalmology care whiclst ensuring there is a smoooth flow with in the Department.

The emergency department within the western eye is the only walk in emergency depatrtment within North west London and as such we see the full range of Ophthalmology emergencies. This is busy exciting department within which to work which provides many learning opportunities for those who have an interest in Ophthalmology

Main duties of the job

  • To provide high quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients in urgent and critical situations.
  • To assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate them without supervision
  • To deliver efficient and effective care, ensuring that patients receive the best possible treatment during time of need
  • To provide specialized nursing care to patients with eye-related emergencies
  • To collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care in the Ophthalmology A&E setting.
