Job summary

1 Year Fixed Term based at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

The primary aim of the role is to support the ICHNT multi-professional simulation programme and improve patient care, outcomes and safety using education and training interventions that best meet the needs of teams and Trust patients. The position is a highly varied one and will involve all aspects of the running and development of educational programmes

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support specific simulation educational activities and events. Principally this applies to supporting the delivery of the junior doctor programme commissioned by HEE (Health Education England), in accordance with the foundation programme and IMT curricula. There is already a senior SIM fellow in post to provide support and mentorship on daily programmed activities.

This post is an excellent opportunity for a junior doctor who is interested in developing their educational portfolio, will significantly develop their management skills as well as an understanding of the operational management of simulation in medical education with respect to a large, complex Trust. This post will allow the postholder to develop skills in project design, management, leadership, programme delivery, support of teaching programmes as well as project assessment and analysis.
