WLCH & Imperial College Trusts Paediatric Department have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Paediatric nurse. Join our dynamic and friendly nursing teams working on our children's wards providing general and specialist care to the children and families on our paediatric wards.
The Trust are seekingto employ a hardworking and committed individual to join our team as a Band 7 Ward Manager providing leadership on our busy and fast paced wards. The role is both managerial and clinical and you will be supporting the learning and development of the paediatric nursing team giving high quality care to our patients and families. You will be managing an inpatient unit as well as a day case surgical ward totalling 30 beds. You will also have the opportunity to line manage staff and develop your management skills through our leadership programmes and will be fully supported by the Matron and senior Nursing team. Though this is a fixed term 1 year post you will have a fantastic opportunity to develop you managerial skills at band 7 level.
All members of the nursing team have a designated role or work stream to enhance clinical service delivery and development of the Paediatrics. The role will support staff to develop their nursing and clinical skills looking after patients in the paediatric areas.
Your personal development will be supported through clinical supervision with the Paediatric Senior Nursing Team.
Main duties of the job
To oversee the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care focused on improving outcomes and experiences for patients, families and careers. To provide Children's Inpatient Services nursing, clinical expertise and advice to support and facilitate the delivery of high standards of individualised care.
