Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our treatment review team within the radiotherapy department at Imperial College healthcare NHS Trust. Our treatment review team is made up of radiographers & nurses, we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic radiographer or nurse who is willing to help us continually develop our practice and move the department forward through research and quality improvement. You may be someone with existing treatment review experience or someone who is keen to develop their career along this pathway, either way if you are someone who can bring fresh ideas and a passion for team working then we would love to hear from you.
You will have the opportunity to support patients being treated across a wide range of pathways including brachytherapy. We currently provide MDT led on-treatment review clinics, radiographer / nurse led drop in follow clinics and telephone follow up and are currently evaluating the use of photo-biomodulation therapy to help manage oral mucositis in patient's receiving head & neck radiotherapy.
Our equipment portfolio includes five TrueBeam linacs, Siemens go. Open Pro CT scanner and an Xstrahl unit. Our Elekta Flexitron Brachytherapy unit is based at Hammersmith Hospital in a dedicated brachytherapy suite.
We encourage applications from individuals who may already possess physical assessment skills and who may already be a registered non-medical independent prescriber, if you are successful in your application but do not yet possess these skills and qualifications you will be expected to complete this training and will be fully supported to do so. All applicants would be expected to be able to support the working hours of the service and work across sites.

- To liaise closely with the medical team and treating team to provide continuous care from planning through to post treatment support
- To provide information, education and support to patients and carers during their radiotherapy episode
