Job summary
The Specialty Support Manager will support the Business Manager and wider Directorate to oversee the operational management of the services.
It is imperative that the Specialty Support Manager has excellent attention to detail, is able to work in a fast-paced environment and has a can-do, supportive attitude.
The role oversees the performance for General and Colorectal surgery and will involve working closely with nurses, AHP's, clinicians and administrative staff.
You must have excellent communication skills, organisational and customer care skills. You will have the personal qualities to deal confidently and confidentially with our patients and the clinical team. You will be a collaborative role model who is able to generate ideas, work effectively in a team and be able to use your own initiative. We can offer you support and training to assist you in your personal development.
This post will predominately be based at St Mary's Hospital, however it does involve some cross site working.
Main duties of the job
- Provide a comprehensive and quality administrative and scheduling service to the designated department and the patients, manage and prioritise their workload liaising closely with the other administration staff, Vascular Scientists/Sonographers, Ward Staff and management in the Department.
