The Office of the Medical Director is recruiting a dedicated and motivated individual to manage the mortality surveillance and learning from death portfolio at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
This is a growing area of work in the Trust and across our collaborative partners so the post holder will join at an exciting time.
This new, high-profile role that will manage a number of different teams and processes within the Trust, bringing them together so that we are able to analyse data, develop insights and build learning and improvement into everything we do. The post holder will oversee a number of administrative functions and provide day-to-day operaitonal management for the deliveyr of a number of services and processes in the department. This includes managing a team of people and ensuring all key performance targets are met and Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to.
We're looking for an enthusiastic team leader who will undertake the role in a way that positively promotes learning and improvement, supports colleagues to excel in their roles and ensures we have have robust governance arrangements in place to effectively manage our services. Candidates will have experience of effective operational management and delivery of high quality services in any part of healthcare. The successful candidate will be actively involved in shaping the delivery of our services.
Main duties of the job
The business manager will lead a number of functions within the learning from death portfolio, ensuring the delivery of high quality services in a number of areas.
This will include day-to-day management and responsibility for business planning and operational management, service improvement and policy development, financial management, data analysis and presentation, staff management and development, and cost reduction planning and delivery.
