Specialist Services Critical Care, part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, the largest trust in the UK and the countrys first Academic Health Science Centre has 43 intensive care beds based across three sites, Hammersmith Hospital, St Marys Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital. Covering a wide variety of clinical specialties within the Critical Care sphere, including tertiary referral Vascular surgery, Neuro surgery, Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Upper GI, tertiary referral Renal, Hepato-biliary and Major Trauma.

Main duties of the job

Band 5 or Band 6 Critical Care Registered Nurse Imperial NHS Staff Bank

The Staff Bank Department is a dedicated team aiming to provide a quality service to Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The Staff Bank strives to support our Hospitals with competent, reliable and registered Staff Nurses who will be able to provide the highest level of service to our patients.

  • At least 6 months UK NHS Hospital Experience as a Band 5 or 6 CC within the last 2 years.
  • NMC registered with no restrictions.
  • Preferably hold a recognised Critical Care Course
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills with an enthusiastic approach to the provision of quality, effective safe care delivery.
  • Understand the importance of maintaining patient safety and minimising risk in accordance with Trust policy and procedure.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the importance of supportive and flexible team working.
