Job summary

We are looking for an ICT Trainer to support the implementation of Trust Care Coordination Solution (CCS) at Imperial College Healthcare.

NHS Trust as part of the NW London pilot through the national Improving Elective Care Coordination Programme. The Improving Elective Care Coordination for Patients (IECCP) Programme has been established during the pandemic with the commitment to:

  • Improve equity of access, reduce unwarranted variation in clinical outcomes and productivity
  • Ensure we provide timely care to our patients and reduce the elective backlog
  • Keep elective pathways running for as long as possible in the context of managing COVID surge and elective recovery
  • Operate in the most efficient way possible and to increase productivity

There is an opportunity to join the team at Imperial to support the planning, deployment and

roll-out of the Trust CCS, and embed it in clinical services. This role will play an important

part to supporting transformation of care process models and patient pathway development

across the organisation and ICS, improving patient experience and outcomes.

Main duties of the job

  • Delivering the IECCP training curriculum to individuals and groups of staff from basic to advanced level, across the Trust.
  • Design and delivery of user training for Trust clinical applications, including CCS, Cerner, etc.
  • Design, develop and maintain training materials for the Clinical Systems used in the Trust
  • Promote the use of ICT throughout the Trust, working with staff to maximise their effectiveness and learning opportunities.
  • Support IECCP Programme Team to implement training program for any of new IECCP modules and ICT systems.
  • Evaluate trainee performance and take appropriate action in accordance with system policies and procedures based on results.
  • Contribute to improving service quality.
  • Contribute to the development of computer based training.
  • Support the ICT Training Manager by producing detailed accurate reports on training related issues.
  • Support the ICT helpdesk with application software in-depth specific knowledge
