Job summary

We are looking to appoint a Kidney Transplant Waiting List Co-ordinator to our Renal Information Team as part of the wider Renal Administration Service. The role will support the smooth running of patient transplant journeys whilst under the Trust's care by ensuring that coordinated and streamlined administrative processes centre on the patient and their individual needs. Specifically, the role will be responsible for the coordination and management of the transplant waiting lists and MDTs.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who enjoys analysing data and can quickly learn new IT systems. To be successful in this role you will need to be highly organised, pay attention to detail and be able to manage competing priorities, using your own initiative to solve problems. You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across staff groups, always conducting yourself in a professional manner.

Main duties of the job

  • Ensuring that patients are added to the local waiting list in a timely manner when requested by clinicians
  • Facilitating the process of registration on the national transplant waiting list by submitting the necessary paperwork and co-ordinating the supply of samples to the pathology lab
  • Ensuring that patient records are updated regularly
  • Supporting the coordination of transplant patient pathways across the service
  • Co-ordinating and supply administrative support to the various modality transplant MDTs
