Job summary
This post is for a 10PA substantive Gynaecological Oncology Surgeon, based at Queen Charlotte and Chelsea/Hammersmith Hospitals. The post is 80% clinical, with 25% of the post being dedicated to major surgical operating lists. 20% is for supporting professional activities, including supporting the MDT chair, supporting gynaecology risk management and providing educational supervision to one trainee. It is suitable for a candidate who is accredited as a subspecialist in Gynaecological Oncology or is within six months of being accredited.
Main duties of the job
The consultant will be a member of the tertiary Gynaecological Oncology service at Queen Charlotte and Chelsea and Hammersmith Hospitals. They will contribute to the Gynaecological Oncology Outpatient clinic, Rapid access and vulval clinic, MDTs weekly and major operating lists, with 80% of the job plan being direct clinical care and 20% being supporting professional activities.
