Our Community Diagnostic Centres are looking for a plain film Superintendent with a flair for innovation and leadership. We're seeking an exceptional radiographer who can seamlessly manage and synchronise the operations of our cross-site services as a plain film Superintendent. You will be managing and working alongside a multidisciplinary ensemble of Band 6 Radiographers, Clerical Coordinators, and Modality Assistants, all of whom will look to you for guidance and inspiration.

You will be motivating and leading our fabulous radiographer staff to deliver outstanding outpatient care to our local communities based across our Willesden CDC and St Charles Hospital. As Superintendent you will be assisting in delivering positive change to our service which will benefit staff and service users alike.

In our department, the keystones are education and training. Your extensive radiographic experience in Plain Film will be vital, and a keen knowledge and interest in current trends and techniques in general radiography, Imaging IT systems, and QA requirements will make you a standout applicant.

Main duties of the job

  • To be responsible for the management and day-to day running of the specialised services pertaining to the unit
  • To be responsible for the management and development of the specialist service ensuring optimum use of staffing and equipment resources within the modalities.
  • To be responsible for the professional leadership and training of the team, providing a high quality patient focused service.
  • To maintain a sensitive and courteous approach to patients.
  • To develop and improve professional expertise via continuous professional development.
  • To ensure maintenance of equipment and a safe working environment.
  • To provide a service to patients across all sites
