Job summary
This substantive 0.5 WTE consultant post is based in the within the Endocrinology & Diabetes department at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The post will involve clinical sessions at all three hospital campuses (St Mary's, Hammersmith and Charing Cross). The post would be ideal for someone with research funding to cover the other 0.5 WTE of a full-time job.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will divide his/her time between clinical work, inpatient and outpatients. There are fixed weekly commitments which include renal-diabetes clinic, type 1 diabetes clinic, inpatient diabetes ward rounds and clinical meetings. Acute/general medicine ward rounds and shifts are not fixed. Applicants should have an interest and experience in all of these areas.

- Full and Specialist registration (and with a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC), or be eligible for registration within six months of interview.
- Applicants that are UK trained, must ALSO be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview.
- Applicants that are non-UK trained, will be required to show evidence of equivalence to the UK CCT
