We are seeking a highly skilled nurse to work in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).This is a really exciting time to join our team. We have fantastic opportunities for dedicated and experienced neonatal nurses who are looking to broaden their clinical experience and develop their careers.
Our neonatal service is the largest neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) service within North West London.As the pioneering UK-wide centre for therapeutic hypothermia neonates we treat more than 1000 babies per year from all over the country at risk from irreversible brain injury.
Our neonatal unit provides care to high risk, critically ill neonates,withintegrating the family into care one of our guiding principles. Our NICU service has recently launched an integrated family-centred care project (based on a model from Toronto Children's Hospital) which supports parents in becoming equal members of the neonatal team and participating in providing active care for their baby with the help of competency-based training
Main duties of the job
- You'll be based at Queen Charlotte's & Chelsea Hospital which specialises in looking after women with high-risk complicated pregnancies and cares for extremely premature babies.
- You will be using your skills and expertise to provide high quality, effective and individualised nursing care to a patients ina compassionate and caring way. You'll be able to assess care needs and develop, implementing and evaluating care plans.
