At St Mary's we have four procedure rooms, with three at Hammersmith and Charing Cross is currently undergoing refurbishment.

We have successfully implemented an endoscopy nurse on-call service to improve patient's outcome and meet the recommendations from the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) upper gastrointestinal bleed guidance.
Main duties of the job
You will have the opportunity to lead by example and support the safe delivery of individualized care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including endoscopic ablation of Barrett's esophagus using radiofrequency ablation (HALO) and Endo Bronchial Ultrasound (EBUS). We also offer a pleural day service, general anesthetic sessions and a GI physiology service and capsule endoscopy.
The SMH endoscopy unit is JAG accredited. The department offer a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including:
- Upper and lower GI endoscopy
- Gastroscopy
- Colonoscopy
- Flexi sigmoidoscopy
- Bronchoscopy
- EBUS
