Job summary
As a Critical Care Outreach and Resuscitation Practitioner, you will be responsible for the provision and facilitation of high quality specialist care to all patients with a critical illness diagnosis. This is in conjunction and with your line manager, the Critical Care Consultants and the Trust Critical Care Outreach and Resuscitation Lead. The main aim of this role is to avert admission to Critical Care by timely recognition and intervention, or to ensure that admission to higher level care takes place.
Furthermore you will enable discharge from Critical Care by supporting the continuing recovery of discharged patients on wards, and acting as a resource to other professionals on Critical Care and associated treatments and issues.
You will also be responsible for the delivery of a resuscitation training programme, to ensure all Trust staff are trained to an appropriate level, which meets the mandatory training requirements.
