Are you looking to start your career or would like the chance of a new challenge in a collaborative and exciting speciality? If so, we have full time/part time permanent positions with a mixture of long days and nights, Monday - Sunday within our Cardiac Wards at Hammersmith Hospital

You will need to be passionate, dynamic and a forward thinking nurse with a desire to build your knowledge and skills within an inclusive, diverse environment.

Our teams are genuinely committed to your ongoing educational/professional development and will facilitate the unique opportunity for the right candidates to gain experience within all of the above areas before choosing where you would like to specialise. You will be supported by our Nursing Team, Practice Educators and highly skilled Multi-Disciplinary Team members.

10:00 - 10:30 Welcome and Refreshments

10:30 - 10:45 Introductions

10:45 - 11:15 Talk on Specialities

11:15 - 12:30 Ward Tours

12:30 - 13:00 Break

13:00 onwards - Drug Calculations and Interviews

Main duties of the job

  • To provide high quality compassionate care to all patients.
  • To be professionally accountable for own actions and to work within the guidelines, policies and procedures of Imperial NHS Trust.
  • Provide support and, individualised care to patients, relatives/carers in collaboration with the multi professional team, in line with local and national targets.
  • At all times ensure that the needs of the patient are placed at the centre of care delivery.
  • To be flexible in the approach to the clinical area and provide cover for any area specified.

  • Maintain and promote effective communication with ward team and all members of the multi-disciplinary team both written and verbal.
  • To demonstrate politeness, courtesy and sensitivity in dealing with patients/clients, visitors/relatives and colleagues, maintaining good customer relations.
  • Promote the corporate image of Imperial College NHS Healthcare Trust to all individuals, groups and organisations within the Trust.

Responsibilities Patient/Client Care

  • Assess, plan implement and evaluate programmes of care for individual patients using and actively seeking evidence based practice to support clinical outcomes as appropriate.

  • Current first level RN registration with NMC
  • Registered Nurse

Desirable

  • 6 months experience in healthcare
