An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced midwives to join the team on Maternity Inpatient Wards. The successful candidate will have a passion for creating an environment that will promote high quality care, whilst seeking to improve patient safety and in doing so facilitating a positive patient experience in the antenatal and postnatal setting.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced midwives to join the team on Maternity Inpatient Wards. The successful candidate will have a passion for creating an environment that will promote high quality care, whilst seeking to improve patient safety and in doing so facilitating a positive patient experience in the antenatal and postnatal setting.
Josephine Barnes and Ann Stewart wards have a total of 47 beds, caring for high risk antenatal and postnatal women. It is a fast paced environment staffed by one other Band 7, a core and rotational team of enthusiastic staff who show commitment to prioritising care whilst working in partnership with women and the wider team.
Visibility on the wards is essential; this will be achieved by working together ensuring there is clinical leadership across all days of the week. As the postnatal lead you will be responsible for postnatal transformation programme initiative's such "length of stay"
You will be required to exhibit leadership behaviours that demonstrate respect, resilience, trust and energy, positively impacting on the culture of the workforce, leading to a happy workplace.
